ANT · Belgium

Antwerp

Industrial backbone with under-discussed datacenter capacity. The port and surrounding industrial belt have power, fiber, and a buyer-side reputation that lags actual capability.

Snapshot

The numbers and the named entities.

Connectivity
Routes to AMS-IX and BNIX; regional fiber dense
Hyperscale presence
Limited; brownfield opportunities exist
Sub-regions
Antwerp Port, Kallo, Wijnegem
Typical buyer
Industrial, logistics, port-adjacent SaaS, EU sovereignty
Power availability
Generally good; specific sites case-by-case

Best for

What this market actually does well.

  • Logistics and port-adjacent compute
  • Industrial telemetry and OT-adjacent workloads
  • Cost-sensitive EU sovereignty workloads
  • Brownfield datacenter conversions

Note: Several of our active feasibility engagements are in the Antwerp industrial belt — power and fiber are present where the marketing isn't.

Antwerp is consistently underrated. The port creates the kind of industrial backhaul that datacenters benefit from but rarely advertise. Power is meaningfully more available than in the AMS metro, and brownfield conversion is plausible for certain envelopes — provided you do the demand validation first.
